We write to invite you to the first Annual General Meeting of the Mennonite Trust on Saturday 12 March at Bloomsbury Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8EP.
The Trust is in the process of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) – a better instrument than a charitable trust for our current activities. It is a requirement that a CIO has an AGM – an opportunity to update interested persons and to receive comments on our activities. We may or may not have completed the process by 12 March, but we think this will be a good opportunity anyway to meet with friends of the Trust. We hope that you will consider attending if you are interested in hearing about and influencing developments.
The AGM will take place at 5pm and will last approximately one hour. It will follow on from a conference organised by the Anabaptist Network at the same venue. You will need to register for the Anabaptist conference, but there is no need to do so for the AGM. You are welcome to participate in either or both of these events. We appreciate that travelling into central London for a one-hour meeting may not be feasible, but we hope that you might consider participating in the conference and staying on for the AGM.
